PROGRESO ISD INTENT, PURPOSE, AND SCOPE

It is the intent of PISD to solicit written proposals from professional firms, with significant networking experience to assist the PISD to enhance its infrastructure. Basically, it is our intent to procure standalone turnkey jobs involving cabling and network hardware that will support district wide sites and interface with the existing infrastructure. PISD is always seeking innovative ideas to reduce costs and deploy technology that supports the district’s Technology Plan. Each project is independent and can be proposed individually.

The scope of the work encompasses the following projects (Click to download ):

• Data, Video, and Voice Cabling for New Elementary School
• Hardware – Cisco Switches for LAN and WAN for New Elementary School
• Servers for New Elementary School
• Phone System for New Elementary School
• Internet Service Provider
• Redundant Cisco Firewall
• Basic Technical Support/ LAN Maintenance
• Telecommunications - Basic Phone and Long Distance Service
• Any innovative cost effective proposals not listed above will be considered

The PISD intends to procure these projects with funds available through the Universal Service Funds – (E-Rate 2005 Year 8) program.

PROPOSAL DUE DATE

Proposals will be received until the below mentioned date. Any Proposal(s) received after this time and date will be rejected and returned unopened. It is the sole responsibility of the proposer to ensure his proposal is received in the appropriate department as designated in the specifications herein. No excuses are acceptable and the determination of the Superintendent is final.

One (1) original and two (2) copies of each Proposal are required. Faxed Proposals will NOT be accepted. All proposal envelopes must be marked, sealed and delivered as follows:
